2.5 mile warm up with drills

then we did some strides and started off the workout with  1x1600 and i hit my pace almost right on with 5:54, after that we did a 1200 and im not sure what happened but i was dead!  I think i was still tired from going all day saturday!  so instead of 2x1200 we skipped the second 1200 and did 2x300 and finished with 4x100.  then did a mile cool down with stretches!  today was hard but wednesday will be better!

Easy run out on the arizona strip.  last mile or two my stomach started to hurt a little but i finished the run.  and waiting at the end was a nice big jug of gatorade!

so today was awesome!  first off it was way rainy and cold which made practice way fun. so started out with .5 mile warmup with drills, another 2 mile warm up and then some strides.  our workout today was 8x400 with surges.  after each 400 our recovery depended on when our heart rate got back down to 120.  after we were done with the 400 we jogged a little till the boys were done then we did starts.  they were so much fun!  so yeah then we did core and stretch.

AM- 3miles easy

PM- .5 mile warm up, drills then a three mile kenyan run!  then i was supposed to do 4x200 finishes but i was rolling out this morning and there was a sharp pain in between my calf and shin.  so I told coach and he massaged it out and told me to take it easy, no roads, compression socks and roll out. so yeah then we stretched.

Day 1 of Pine View Invite

2 mile warm up

1600 race.  I was in the second girls heat.  We started off in an alley start and i liked it a lot better than a regular waterfall start.  so I started off in the front of the pack and for the most part I stayed there.  I felt really good and the weather was Perfect!!!  I finished first in my heat and a second away from "koalafying" for state. but Im way happy with my time! 5:22!  Next time I'll qualify ;)

Day 2 of the Pine View Invite

1 mile warm up

3200 race.  I was actually put in the seeded race and Im really glad I was because it was way fun!  I got to race against some really fast girls and I like being in races with them because they push me to go harder and faster!  so I was ranked last but I didnt come in last!  My goal was to stay with courtney as much as I could and I did.  The last lap I tried to push up with a big group of girls... I couldn't catch them in just one lap but I did finish at 11:32 which is qualifying for state and more than a 30 sec. pr!  I learned a lot of things in this race and hope to improve even more next time!  The two mile is definitely a fun race and again today it was perfect weather!

2 mile cool down then I stretched and  sat in my freezing cold pool for about 12 minutes when i got home!
